CATHY COOPER: ON THE WITCHY SIDE

I've been following Jeana Sohn's blog and work for a few years and my absolute favorite project of hers is CLOSET VISIT. It's always inspiring. Especially her latest - stylist Cathy Cooper's closet. What first struck me is Cathy's AMAZING gray mane. I've often daydreamed of long, thick, gray hair as an older woman - it looks spectacular on her. She is definitely a new style idol in all of her tomboyish femininity.

Today I scored the most beautiful rabbit fur coat for $20 ! I've been looking/hoping for this coat for the last year and a half. Seriously.

It inspired this little set of "favorite things I am currently hoping for"... : )  (I'm especially hoping GAP will bring back the 1969 Destructed Easy Straight jean. They are my favorite pair and the holes have grown significantly.)

DRESS UP: HIM

A few weeks ago I found him a vintage wool Buffalo flannel jacket - lined and totally rad. (I think I've worn it more than he has at this point...)

HURRY UP WE'RE DREAMING

I have been a busy lady. 

The catering job was a great success. They were extremely happy, the food was fantastic, and I've been approached about holiday dinner parties. : )

I've been taking it easy/working on the shop this week. Which I'm updating today and tomorrow !

The photos are from a recent day trip to Paint Bank, VA. We enjoyed Buffalo burgers, BBQ, chili, and stew at The Swinging Bridge. Delicious !

Lastly, I've been listening to the new M83 album nonstop. Anyone else? It's so good.

Today has been cold, rainy, and grey. This afternoon I ran errands (unsuccessfully), but now I'm cozied up with a cinnamon decaf latte watching one of my favorite movies, While You Were Sleeping.

WE FOUND LOVE

Today I'm baking Deep Dark Chocolate Cookies and Grandma Ruth's Sugar Cookies while blasting Rhianna's, We Found Love. I have a catering job on November 6 and I'm doing a bit of a practice run. Tomorrow my parents' are having a garage sale - I'm in charge of cookies and coffee. I'll be trying out my baked goods on the early morning pickers ! H A P P Y F R I D A Y.

THE BLAZERRR

I've been wearing blazers since my sophomore year in college when I found a wine colored corduroy one (photo bottom left !) in my mom's closest. Sadly, last September I lost my favorite wool blazer on a flight overseas... It was vintage 1970s, a perfect camel color, with a long lapel - I wore it all the time (see other 3 photos). I've since adopted a military green wool blazer with faux fur trim as my new favorite. I love a good blazer and yesterday I was SUPER excited to score several beauties for the WT shop !
